Results Subida a La Cabrera 2018

The Subida a La Cabrera was the first round of the Madrid Hillclimb Championship. The track was still damp when first practise started but as the day progressed conditions became better and better. Almost all drivers set their fastest times in the final race of the day. Juan Antonio Castillo was one of the few who did not. He was fastest after race 1 but saw two other drivers pass him in race 2. José Alonso went .002 faster than Castillo, enough for second place. Gabriel Gutierrez did even better. The young champion steered his Dicode FR singleseater to a new trackrecord.

Jesus Garcia led the touringcars after race 1. And just like sportscar leader Castillo, he could not improve his time in race 2. But unlike his counterpart in the sportscars, his time in race 1 was enough for victory. Ismael Arquero passed Jaier Garcia to claim second. Eugenio Fernandez was unlucky to miss the podium by just .7 seconds.
