Antonio Giestas won the season opener on Madeira. At the very last moment the BRC CM02 pilot snatched the victory away. For a long time it looked like defending champion Dinarte Nobrega would win the Rampa da Ponta do Sol. In the first race Nobrega set a time that was 3 seconds quicker than everybody else. Only in the fourth and last run did Giestas managed to beat it. Third position also changed hands in the final race. Eventual touringcar winner Rui Pinto was passed by Kart-Cross drivers Nelson Andadre and Greg Faria. Pinto was demoted to fifth overall but still 9 seconds faster than every other touringcar.
