Ten days ago the Maltese Hillclimb Championship opened with the Pinellu Hillclimb. Zach Zammit will be driving in the United Kingdom this year. At Pinellu he was present for a final test weekend before putting his Empire Singleseater on the boat north. Zammit was quickest in practise and the first race. However in the second race Mark Micallef was .1 second faster and therefore snatched victory away. Zammit was driving as a guest and scored no points. Fabio Baldacchino finished third in the event but collects the points for second.
