Results Cupa Gorjului (Ranca) 2017

The Romanian Hillclimb Championship continued with the Cupa Gorjului, also known as the Ranca Hillclimb. The organisers ran into all sorts of problems. There were a number of crashes, there was a major oil spill and on top of that the weather was very bad. For all those reasons it was eventually decided to cancel the second race session.

At that point in time Andrei Dumitrescu was the leader of the event. Driving the sole singleseater at Ranca Dumitrescu had no problems with the opposition. Championship leader Lucian Radut had a bad weekend. He retired in practise and scores no points. Bulgarian champion Lyuben Kamenov was the best touringcar driver in Ranca as he finished second overall. Bogdan Cuzma won the previous event and he kept his good form at the Cupa Gorjului as he finished third overall.
