In about 10 days time the Spanish Hillclimb Championship will continue in Andalucia with the Subida a Ubrique. It is one of the most popular events in Spain. The entry is still a few days open but already 94 drivers have entered.
Joseba Iraola was not at the first round in Estepona but in Ubrique he will present a formidable challenge to Javier Villa. An interesting entry is that of Pedro Castañon. The Galician driver will debut the Talex M1, a brand-new CM-car. Talex is a new manufacturer and the M1 is their first car. Castañon will compete in the normal CM version, although the Talex can also be converted into CM+.
In category 3 we spot the return of reigning champion Humberto Janssens. José Antonio Aznar will hopefully bring out his new Ginetta G55 GT3. José Antonio Lopez-Fombona is also entered with his impressive Lamborghini Huracan Supertrofeo. Sadly those appear to be the only GT drivers on the entrylist, but it has to be said again that the entries are still open. Also worth noting is the entry of Juan Buenaventura Rodriguez. The last few years he participated in an Osella sportscar, now he appears with a Porsche 951 GTR (also known as the 944).
