The Spanish Hillclimb Championship moves to Tenerife this week for two back-to-back raceweekends. Next week the Subida a Tamaimo is contested. Before that the drivers first visit the Subida a Guia de Isora. Unlike previous year there are actually some drivers from the mainland making the long travel to the Canary Islands.
In Category 1 Javier Villa and Manuel Aviles are present to take on the local opposition. In Category 2 Jonathan Alvarez, Garikoitz Flores and Cesar Rodriguez are the main challengers. In Category 3 José Antonio Aznar will be present to take on the local GT-drivers. Sadly Pedro Javier Afonso is the only Porsche driver who has taken up the challenge.
