The Croatian Hillclimb Championship starts this weekend with the Nagrada Stubičkih Toplica. The event also counts towards the Slovenian Hillclimb Championship. Almost 80 drivers have entered for this 25th edition.
Vladimir Stankovic should have no problem with his three Croatian rivals in the sportscars. The Slovene and his Gibson RME04 sportscar are the favourites for victory. Last year’s winner here and also the defending touringcar champion Domagoj Perekovic returns in 2018. The Mitsubishi Lancer pilot will face some serious opposition from Slovene champion Milan Bubnic. Mario Jurisic finished runner-up in the championship last season. For 2018 he will have a new Audi A4 STW to challenge for victories. Outsider is Bojan Juranic and his powerful Seat Leon.
