Uberto Bonucci won the first event of the Italian Historic Hillclimb Championship. At the Cronoscalata Camucia – Cortona Bonucci was unbeatable. The Osella PA9/90 pilot set two fastest times, won Group 4 and was the fastest overall. Stefano Peroni debuted on the Martini MK32 BMW. This is the same car his father Giuliano used to win the Group 5 Championship last year. The younger Peroni was immediately quick and finished second overall. The older Peroni returned with his trusted Osella PA3. He won Group 2 (he was the only sportscar driver in the Group) and finished fifth overall. Between the two Peronis finished Walter Marelli in third and Lottini in fourth. Both drivers competed in Osella PA9/90 sportscars. For Marelli it was his first event in this car. Another PA9/90 was the winner of Group 3. Andrea Fiume steered his example to sixth overall. Giuliano Palmieri and Ildebrando Motti battled for the unofficial title of best touringcar driver. Palmieri got the better of his rival. They also finished second and third in Group 2 and seventh and ninth overall. In between them was the winner of Group 1, Tiberio Nocentini with Chevron B19. The top 10 was completed by the only foreign driver present, Austrian Harald Mössler.
