Until 2001 road between Wendelsheim and Nack hosted one of the shortest and fastest hillclimbs in the German Championship. The Teufelsrutsch Bergrennen is sometimes also referred to as Alzey, the larger city east of the racetrack. Alzey was also the name of the organising club.
